I gave up before I even started trading. Made a complain to point out the flows of their KYC and verification process although I do not think they’ll do anything about it as they do not appear to be a customer oriented organization.

Stay away and go with another provider is my advice.

I had a legitimate account with IG and feel cheated by them on a few accounts:
1. Huge slippage – I had kept a 15 pip Stop Loss order with them for 3 mini contracts, exposing only 45USd. However within a minute, I saw I had a loss of over 200 USD. There was a slippage of about 60 Pips on a regularly traded currency pair such as cable (GBP/ USD). It happened once, then twice and then again and I was forced to close my account
2.Incorrect entries – Near news, they have massive spreads, making trading a definite loss when dealing with them.Again in GBP/ USD, around time of market news, I have had trades getting executed at gaps of over 6.3 pips between my pending order and market price. Even when you complain They simply say there was market noise and do not act.
On top of it they have pathetic and arrogant customer service. Its a definite no no and a broker you dont want to deal with as they will cut you every possible way.

Good for cryptocurrency. Okay for stocks

I’ve been an IG user from Singapore for few years and I am still a user till today. Reason being their withdrawal request takes only hours if I requested it in the morning on a business day. I’m not sure about accounts from other countries.

However why I rated it as 3 stars is because they caused me to suffer huge losses 4 months ago. I bought Facebook on the day they were going to announced their earnings. IG has Facebook as an All Session stock. I had a stop loss of pretty low and I was confident it was never going to hit the stop loss. However as soon as market close, it immediately hit the stop loss and a few mins later, shot up sky high. This is due to the queue on the bid and ask pricing. They were very far apart as it’s the after market session. This is not the first time it happened and I have avoided using IG for stocks purchases. I now use them for cryptocurrency trading. They are a good company imo still.

Something weird about IG.com. I haven’t registered with them in any way but somehow they got my contact details from merely glancing at their site. I took no more than 5 minutes reading an article on their site and suddenly thirty minutes later a woman from the company called me up asking for my trading preferences. Naturally, I just led her on but since then, I had to red flag the company for simply infringing on my privacy. I find their behavior unethical and thus would urge anyone to really research the company very well before committing to a path you will regret later.

I live in Uae the banks are closed on fridays and suddenly IG stop taking funding by credit card leaving all retail customers like me with no option to fund the isisze isaccount in case living in Uae not to invest a penny with this broker the customer service in Uae zero they only have skeleton staff with no decisions making power. They Love stops and slippages are common to they will not accept and anything after illegally eating your money they are a scam it looks like in United Arab Emirates am certain many will agree. IG take your money VERY easy. But returning your money…..well that’s a different story. They ask your for your bank statement with bank logo, name, address etc AND proof of the wire transfer.
The explanation – they are required to do this by their regulators! What lies!
I have NEVER had an FCA broker ask for that ever.
I told them to look for this info in their own bank statement as ALL wires include source. Their reply – Barclays does not provide them with that information :))
Now I’m sorry but such lame lies I have not heard from a 5 year old.
How interesting they don’t ask you for this when you deposit but only on withdrawal.
So yes they try to keep your money at all costs.
Now it gets even worse. Not only did they do this to me. but 3 months later they send me an email they have been investigating my trading and my account is now at a debit because some of the trades they decided were invalid. So they say to contact their “credit” department and make payment on the account.
There is no better way to say this. IG is one of the biggest SCAMS I have come across in the broker arena.

Opened an account with ig.com from Singapore, and initial execution was great until I started to make profits, then they started to give me never ending requotes for market orders. Most of the time cannot execute any market order through their MT4 platform even when i widened the slippage settings, thus I suspect they are trying to force profitable traders away.

These new reviews are sickening. Clearly IG are paying a company to boost their reviews (you can do this). Take notice of the poor and bad reviews as they are the truth. This company is criminal and after your money. They will use all means to try to get your money. Whatever you do, don’t trade CFDs with them as they are a market maker and can influence prices. With CFDs the only way you can make money is to have another party on the other end. My experience with IG is one of the worst in my life. I wish I had been warned by others before opening my account.

DO NOT trade CFD’s with them. They are thieves who steal money from you, particularly when there is a price spike that conveniently tells you an “unexpected error” has occurred, market maker prices (spikes just enough IG eh?) to auto close you out while you are faffing around logging out and back in again, then the prices comes back down within limits. Che surprise.

Always when you are near to limits. Should you let yourself get that close, perhaps not, but when IG takes advantage and spikes it with their fake MM prices, convenient error messages telling you to re log in – thieves, and they know it.

At times this distress has left me feeling suicidal. They are a disgrace. Even my last complaint in Australia has not had a reply since the end of October. You are at risk of taking someone’s life.

. After being a customer with IG for over 5 years, they’ve introduced a dormancy fee for not making any trades in a quarter. At £24, this isn’t much. But having only bought £250 worth of shares, this will wipe them out in two and a bit years – and so makes it a totally losing proposition. i have had an account with IG for years but only started trading this year. More actively from April on MT4. At the beginning of this month I had been doing very very well and so I decided put more obey into my account. A lot more. A few days ago I had trades running the whole day into the night and the next morning I was trying to take my profits and close a few but I couldn’t. There was no option for me to modify or close trades, all I got was chart and cancel. I phoned them up and 3 times was asked to delete and download MT4 app to see if it works but no it wouldn’t work. Fro just after 12 noon until after 3pm this problem wasn’t resolved. Suddenly the trades were losing £300 and I called them up. I HONESTLY thought I was going to die from anxiety as the trades short up while watching and trying to get support to close the trades for me since I had no access to do it my end. First person told me they cannot access MT4 their side I would have to do it myself because they only have access to IG site not my MT4. Suddenly I got a call from a guy, (In South Africa), Inhad spoken to earlier that day about my login issues and he stated that “he hears I’ve issues closing my trades”. I was shocked 1. To get a call back 2. By him saying “he hears”. Well I was desperate and hysterically in tears to get the trades closed and by this time I am losing £700+ This guy offers to pass me onto someone who can close the trades for me on their end. (Remember, the other guy said they can’t do it!!!!!!?). I got passed onto a lady who closed the trades one at a time asking for my permission per trade before closing it. The next thing IG did was close my accounts and this has erased all the evidence but I fortunately have screenshots which I was sending for help to a signal group. I haven’t been able to sleep more than 4 hrs since this, and I don’t even know who to trust with these brokers. I have known IG since 2008. My first demo account was with them and a few brokers let me down but NO ONE could tell me anything bad about IG. Well this has drastically changed. Needless to say, as soon as all trades were closed, I IMMEDIATELY withdrew every single penny. I am still numb from this experience.

Like IG because it has the highest number of shares and commodities to trade compare to other UK trading platforms.

Indicators set up should not be limited to three months . It should be left to the individual client’s choice . Changing/ editing indicators Every three months is somehow time consuming. I just spoils the concentration on other important events on the market . Hope IG will focus on OTC markets in the future .

My experience with IG Index is quite a good one. The platform in all the time I have used it has never let me down, and is fast and responsive. Clear easy to see and read the wording. Very informative fundamentals and signals. Demo account supplied also. As an amateur trader I receive all the help required, and feel safe within IG’s environment. Recommend for new beginning traders.

I joined when there were custody fees, that is what attracted me and it has been removed shortly after I joined with a clear message that some traders are more valued than others. There is an exemption for those holding assets over £15k in a smart portfolio but this exemption is not extended to those with a ShareDealing account which is very disappointing and will mean I will likely transfer my account soon to another provider. This is driven by the custody fee and lack of DRIP function.

Very hard to use your web to access divident information on iPad. App don’t support such feature, and Web is not working fully on Chrome or Safari browsers in iPad.
Couple buttons that is hard to find and press is far on right side and impossible to move those pages. Only on computer. But why do I need full computer to be able to achieve such simple thing.
Also would be nice if you make your app easier to use, more modern and add more features.

Well, i did put in around 15.000€ and when i managed to double my account within 3 weeks time, i saw something suspicious.

The charts started to change, when i did compare them with investing.com and also another broker it was different.

They did put in double bottom candlesticks without actually happening just to make me confused, i think this is something very serious and if you manage to get loads of profits in short period of time you will notice.

I’m not even a customer yet and it’s already as sh33t as it gets, you know why? Because this company won’t even let me finish the verification process, I tried to upload my passport more times than I can be bothered to count and I just wouldn’t accept and then I tried the app and it says i’ve reached my 24h attempt limit, I tried to call customer service over the phone and they say there’s no one available for that sort of thing so basically it’s “we don’t care, we’re the worst company fu very much etc”.

I like the layout. There is plenty of information and lots of support.
The one thing that fails the sight and makes trading difficult is the minimum stop levels you have, if we could set our own levels the chance of success on interday trading would be better or stand more chance of success.

Well I have had the opportunity to buy BTC theough IG.com and many said it could be hacked and I will lose money but the truth is the platform is secure and you are in control day and night you buy an d pay at the tip of your finger no matter where you are. It is easy to use, you have variety of chose choose coins. User friendly, superb customer service as they attend to all queries even though they are slow but they communicate beforehand.

Every single feature of Coinbase is designed to infuriate. Awful UI. Awful customer service. Awful payment method settings and account settings. You jump through hoops for hours to fix something only to be told afterwards you need to do it in a browser rather than in the app.

Investment with IG.com is the best and sure way to get good profits from the market. The platform was designed to provide you with knowledge of the market especially if you are a beginner. Was unable to login due to “unexpected error.” When I finally gained access it showed I had no open positions. So wanting to withdraw my money I checked my funds but couldn’t withdraw them because it said they were in positions. So I was left unable to withdraw my money or manage my positions.

After all said and done that I don’t have that bank account and card anymore, this company said I have to open another account and verify which I did.
They rejected my verification stating I have another account with them, but the problem here is I can’t provide the lost card and my money is with them.
