Animal Crossing New Horizons: July won't bring anything new either

It’s a bit of a shame, Animal Crossing New Horizons is one of the most popular titles for the Switch, but Nintendo is currently making fans fidget. While we had been expecting a content update for E3 2021 – after all, Nintendo was one of the largest participants – there were unfortunately no further announcements about the cute life simulation.

It doesn’t matter much for new players, after all, there are great things to experience in Animal Crossing New Horizons items for sale almost all year round, for example there was just another exciting Insecticus tournament and next weekend the fishing tournament will be back to the test ask who gets the biggest fish on the hook (July 10th). Old ACNH hands, who have been with us since the very beginning, are now likely to have reached the end of their possibilities and not experience much more new on their small, tranquil island. Rather, the events are now repeated in the second year and provide little variety. Even the seasonal items, such as the current Tanabata bamboo, do not tear it out.

A gray second year so far
How big is the desire for another content update! In the first year there were really a lot of great innovations and Nintendo provided us with lavish updates on a regular basis. Over the past few months, however, it suddenly became very quiet and there was no content replenishment.

Animal Crossing offers so much potential. As part of E3, we summarized a few ideas about what we would like for the game, for example.

Fans angry
Unfortunately it remained with wishes. The lady dog Melinda seems to be taking a summer break at the moment and prefers to talk about the TV program. Slowly, however, the fans are getting restless. Even if Animal Crossing New Horizons is one of the most entertaining games on the Nintendo Switch, comparisons by fans with its predecessor Animal Crossing New Horizons room designs are rather rough. Too much content is missing, popular characters are simply not available and there is generally a lack of news. The fans express their displeasure on the official German Twitter info account @AC_Melinda, among other things. There is hardly an announcement that does not receive criticism.

It remains to be seen whether Nintendo will go for it again, we probably can’t expect another Animal Crossing game for the time being. Rather, a little product maintenance would be good …
