The release date for Wrath of the Lich King Classic will be in 2022, but the exact month or date has yet to be determined.
Blizzard’s developers say fans can expect the expansion to arrive “later this year,” so at least we know we won’t have to wait too long.
If we had to start the rumor with our own guesswork, we’d say it’s worth remembering that Wrath of the Lich King’s original release date was November 13, 2008.
If they feel more nostalgic, the Blizzard team may opt to drop the classic version on the same date in 2022. However, we’ll be sure to let you know if official word confirms the release date. Don’t forget to buy cheap WotLK Gold then!
While we learned some interesting information about some elements of the classic Wrath of the Lich King, notably not requiring a level 55 character to create a death knight, or that parts of the first hero class game will be available from PrePatch, it is This got our attention. Very simply, Holly Longdale announced there that the expansion is of course planned for sometime in 2022, but the development team plans to deploy its beta version “within the next two or three months.”
If we believe this statement from the game’s lead producer, the beta version of the second classic expansion pack will be deployed no later than September 2022, or even early September at the latest. According to her, since this version of the game has more or less important changes planned, it is important to deploy it so that players can give feedback on these topics before the game is officially deployed.
